Nurturing Holistic Education in Sri Vrindavan

The Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School (BGIS) is located in the
beautiful holy land of Sri Vrindavan Dham, the abode of Lord Sri Krishna. It offers the
best of both worlds - traditional alongside modern education. Founder acharya of
ISKCON A.C. Bhaktivedanta Srila Prabhupada laid the cornerstone of BGIS in 1976
and established BGIS with a need to inculcate real education in the youth of today.
With the motto ‘simple living, high thinking,’ the education comprises meditation
along with modern education running in parallel with value-based development.
Every year Gurukul accepts students from all over India and abroad, it is a boarding
school for boys with the campus covering over 100 acres and equipped with all
modern amenities.
He established BGIS with a need to inculcate real education among youth which
comprises meditation, ‘simple living, high thinking’ motto, along with modern
education running in parallel with value-based development. Every year Gurukul
accepts students from all over the India and from abroad, BGIS is a boarding school
for boys, the campus is spread over 100 acres, and is equipped with all modern
amenities.

Teaching and other services
BGIS is a boarding school in India that offers a unique blend of spiritual and
modern education. It is ranked 16th best boarding school in India and is part of
ISKCON. The school has a scholarship program for meritorious students and
the faculty is composed of individuals with advanced degrees from institutions
such as IIT, Global MBA, and Ph.D. programs. The school moved to a 60-acre
campus called Vrindaranyam that is powered by green energy, has a replica of
Braj, world-class facilities, and an integrated skill development facility.
Bhaktivedanta Gurukula & International School (BGIS) is an education project of
ISKCON, personally established by HDG A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
in 1975. In the year 2019, it was shifted to a beautiful campus situated around
20 minutes from Vrindavan town. Currently it is a residential school with
ICSE/ISC curriculum from classes 1 to 12 along with Krishna conscious
education.
