The Dallas Observer reported in 2001 that Clark "sexually brutalized the children under his care" as a boys' ashram teacher at the Dallas gurukula, that two brothers filed criminal charges against him in 1984, and that he was serving a 30-year sentence in the state penitentiary. Nori Muster's gurukula timeline also records that he was prosecuted and imprisoned in 1984 for abusing children in Dallas.
